A special message to our brothers and sisters from the North Carolina Masonic Foundation

While we all wait in isolation for whatever comes next, the NC Masonic Foundation, board and staff want you to know that for now and for the future, we are here for our charities and our Craft.

We were created in 1929 – just months before the beginning of the crash and the Great Depression.

We were born of fire, and it made us stronger. Together, we persevered then, we will persevere now.

Here’s what we’re doing:

· While our charities are protected by dedicated leadership/staff on site, our board is closely monitoring the markets and taking strategic action to ensure the financial foundation that helped build the Masonic Home for Children and WhiteStone: A Masonic and Eastern Star Community remains strong and secure.

· We have created a virtual lodge presentation looking at the challenges and opportunities ahead. Contact Dee Blake at dblake@mfnc.org or Chris Richardson at crichardson@mfnc.org for a Zoom date.

· We’re ready with the latest changes in investment rules and procedures that can help you weather the storm. For example, did you know that you can deduct up to $300 off your taxes for charitable giving – whether you itemize or not? Call us. We’re here to help!

· We’re calling brothers and sisters and Masonic widows around the state to make sure they're doing well during this time of social-distancing and at-home isolation.

In the meantime, until we meet again ...

Stay safe.

Stay home if you can.

Keep the faith.

We’ll be here when you need us.
